Snack
Snack payment for session 20th October – 18th December is due NOW. If you have not already paid, please do so as soon as possible. We encourage you to pay for snack on ParentPay as a block (9 weeks @ £2.00 p/w = £18 per block).
BBC Children in Need Appeal
A big ‘Thank you’ to all the children and staff who donated cash to the BBC Children in Need appeal. We raised a fantastic sum of £84.85 – well done everyone!
Poppy Scotland
We collected £33.00 for Poppy Scotland this year. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the appeal.
St Andrews Day
Nursery will be closed to children and staff on Monday 30th November. On Wednesday 2nd December we will have a special Scottish themed lunch. The children are invited to wear something tartan to Nursery.
Christmas Lunch
Please see school section for details of the Christmas Lunch being held on Thursday 10th December in the Hall. The children are invited to wear something Christmassy to Nursery.

ELC Christmas Party
The ELC Christmas party will be on the morning of Wednesday 16th December. Children can come to Nursery in their party wear.
Christmas Cards
Our Christmas Post Box will be available in the nursery from Tuesday 1st December. Children can use it to post Christmas cards to their friends. All post will be quarantined for 72 hours before it is sent home.

Groupcall Xpressions App
Groupcall Xpresssions is a way for you to view messages from your child’s school through an App on your mobile phone or tablet. It is delivered by Groupcall and works alongside the existing system. Text alerts will be used for any urgent messages, while all others will be sent using the App or Groupcall email. Please see the document attached for guidance on ‘How can I start using the App’. If you have any issues/problems with using the Xpressions app, please contact Miss Aitchison.
Virtual Christmas Presentation
We will be sharing our virtual presentation of the Christmas story with you during the last week of term. Please look out for this on our school Facebook page.
Nursery Term Dates
Our last day of term is on Friday 18th December 2020. We will resume on Tuesday 5th January 2021. Please see the end of this newsletter for future term dates.

BBC Children in Need Appeal

School Procedure during Covid19 Pandemic
A reminder, please do not enter the school building.
- Parent/Carers must wear a face covering and vacate the playground as soon as they have dropped off/collected their child from nursery and school.
- If you require information (e.g. medication/holiday request) please email Miss Aitchison and she will make sure the information goes home in your child’s bag.
- Any returns should be sent in school bags and not returned through the office.
- Any messages such as pick up arrangements/to report absence etc. must be communicated by telephone or email.
- Any items to be handed in (water bottles/jackets) should be left (named) in the box by the entrance.
- If there is no alternative and you must enter the school it is essential you wear a face covering.
Poppy Scotland

Active Schools Coordinator
Kendal Smith will be working with our P7 pupils on the afternoons of Tuesday 1st and 8th of December. Please ensure your child has their PE kit on those dates.
Learning from Last Session
Children were issued with learning that they had completed previously and this is for you to keep at home.

New Planters
We have recently replaced our planters in the playground. If you know anyone who can donate bulbs, soil and drought resistant plants, please can you let us know.
Plastic Bottle Appeal
Please can children bring in any large plastic bottles you may have spare to fill the base of our new planters.

Brunch is now 11.55am – 12.15pm, this is allowing us to maximise teaching and learning time on a Friday.
P4-7 Ipads
All children in P4-7 must bring their Ipad’s to school every day, fully charged.
School Tea Towel
The class of 2020/21 school tea towels have now been delivered and are available to purchase at £4.00 each.

Library Books
Children will be given the opportunity to choose some school library books to take home and share over the Christmas period. Please return these in the new term.
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club runs from 8.00am – 8.30am Monday to Thursday with Mrs D’Agrosa and Mrs Murray. It cost 20p per day, where we provide hot toast, cereal, hot chocolate and milk. Come and start your day with all your friends!
